FAQ’s

Do you have any questions related to renting or driving a caravan? See our list of frequently asked questions (FAQ’s).

What kind of driver's license is needed for a caravan?
All you need is a standard group B driver’s license, for vehicles up to 3.5 tons. However, keep in mind that the dimensions of the car will be larger when manoeuvring.
Do I need insurance?
The law obliges us to protect both us and our customers by taking out third party liability insurance. In other words, you are covered in the event of damage to property and persons outside your caravan.
However, you are still liable for any damage or theft of the vehicle and its contents. This liability is limited to 25,000 CZK and is paid as a security deposit during the handover. The amount of the deposit deducted always depends on the severity of the damage. We always recommend our clients to take out additional insurance against any excess.
What happens in the event of a vehicle breakdown?
In this case, you can contact one of the three phone numbers we have for you. Assistance service (in case of a defect), service in case of engine or chassis failure and other service in case of body failure. Our non-stop assistance helpline is also at your disposal, where one of our employees will help you solve any problems.
Do I need a road permit?
Some countries require a ‘motorway permit (stamp)’, as is the case in the Czech Republic. All our vehicles are equipped with the Czech motorway permit. Countries such as Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and others require similar motorway permits as does the Czech Republic. Other countries (Spain, France, Italy) use a toll system where you go through payment gates and pay for kilometres travelled individually. For more information, visit www.tolls.eu/
How many people can travel in one caravan?
All our Adria Matrix models have 4 adult sized beds and one shorter bed. There are 5 seats with seat belts. Nevertheless, we do not recommend traveling with as many to not reduce comfort. For larger groups wanting to travel together, we recommend renting the Sunlight A70 model for up to 6 passengers, or renting multiple caravans – all can be picked up and handed over at the same time and same place. This option has proven to be very popular with groups who wish to travel together but want to keep the privacy and comfort of their own caravan.
Is the price calculated in the offer final?

Yes. The price includes VAT, complete car insurance, road tax, road permits for Czech Republic and all services and equipment. A security deposit of 35,000 CZK is required at the handover. The deposit will be refunded in full, provided that the car is returned in a clean and undamaged condition, without missing equipment at the agreed time and place. The fuel must be refilled in full, the chemical toilet emptied. Only in exceptional cases we would have to impose a fine of 3,000 CZK for cleaning a car that is returned to us in an extremely unsatisfactory condition.

How does the caravan pick up and drop off at any place work?
Our driver will be waiting for you at your chosen location within the specified time. The caravan will be fully equipped, cleaned and ready for your trip. Nevertheless, we recommend you set aside 1 – 1,5 hours for handing over the caravan. The driver will train you in basic handling, hand over the caravan and process the payment. The return of the caravan takes place in a similar spirit – our driver will be waiting for you at the location and time of your choice, where he will check the vehicle and take it back to the depot.
Do your vehicles have a manual or automatic transmission?
We offer cars with both manual and automatic transmissions.
How is the payment made?
After signing the rental agreement, you will pay 50% of the rental fee as a booking deposit. At the time of vehicle handover, you will pay the remaining 50% and additional security deposit of 25,000 CZK.

The preferred method of payment for all payments is by bank transfer. The security deposit covers any damage to the car and will be refunded as soon as we are sure that the caravan has been handed over in a clean and undamaged condition.
